UGC NET Computer Science Syllabus 2020: Check Paper-2 Chapter-wise Detailed Syllabus with Latest UGC NET 2020 Exam Pattern

UGC NET Computer Science Syllabus 2020: Check UGC NET 2020 Computer Science Syllabus Chapter-wise with Latest UGC NET 2020 Exam Pattern. Paper-2 will consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 2 marks each.

National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct UGC NET 2020 Exam in 81 Subjects for determining the candidate’s eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or Assistant Professor (only) posts in Indian Universities and Colleges. The exam will be conducted in online mode consisting of two papers, Paper-1 and Paper-2. Based on the subject selected by the candidate, Paper-2 will consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 2 marks each.

OIA issues decision to restructure telecom and information technology

Oman Investment Authority (OIA) has announced the restructuring of companies operating in telecommunication and information technology sector, and dissolution of the boards of some companies and reduction of the number of board members in other companies.

The decision includes Oman Broadband Company, computer science vs information technology, Satellite Communications Technology Company and Oman Towers Company.

OIA said in a statement, "The decision aims to develop the performance of the companies, raising their efficiency and enabling them to be effective players in the state economy."

"The Authority decided to reduce the number of boards of directors of subsidiaries of the group, as well as reduce the number of members of their boards of directors and unify the support services for companies to increase their effectiveness and reduce operating expenses," OIA added in the statement.

New rules of networking for start-ups in a post-pandemic world

According to a recent study, for 78 percent of all startups, networking is key. Week-long e-Faculty Development Programme (e-FDP) on Cloud Computing concludes at KU

The week-long online faculty development program in Cloud Computing organized by UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, University of Kashmir (KU) concluded here on Saturday.

The program was organised for the faculty members belonging to Computer Science, Engineering and Information Technology streams.
While presiding over the valedictory session of thee program Vice Chancellor KU Prof Talat Ahmad said that the course has been conducted at an appropriate time when due to ongoing lockdown educational institutions are not in a position to function in their regular mode.
He expressed satisfaction over the topics that have been covered and the renowned resource persons from JNU and other universities across the country who delivered lectures during the course.


Applauding the role played by HRDC in conducting a series of online webinars and courses during the computer engineer salary pandemic, Prof. Talat expressed hope that more such programs will be organized in future for the benefit of vast teaching community working from their homes at present.

STEM education report highlights barriers to engineering careers

EngineeringUK has today (23 July) launched a new report which explores the trends in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education participation and attainment leading into engineering careers.

The Engineering UK 2020 Educational Pathways into Engineering Report, written in March 2020, indicates that progress has been made – more young people are studying the GCSE and A level subjects that lead into engineering, while technical education reforms are also enabling students to be more prepared for the world of work.

However, young people’s knowledge of engineering across all education stages still needs to be improved with just 42% of boys and 31% of girls saying they know what they need to do next to become an engineer.

The findings show there is also an acute shortage of STEM subject teachers in both secondary and further education. Almost three quarters of further education college principals rank engineering as the most difficult subject in which to recruit sufficiently qualified teaching staff.

The report also highlights the increased urgency of creating more opportunities for underrepresented groups in engineering, including those from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds whose challenges are likely to be accentuated by school computer science vs information technology. There is also a need to address inequities for young people from black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) backgrounds, with black pupils 2.5 times more likely to be misallocated to a lower set in maths than white pupils.
