Graduate and Executive Education, Jennings A. Jones College of Business at MTSU

MTSU’s Jones College of Business is well known as a business college on the move in the heart of one of the nation’s best locations for living and working. With 19,000 alumni in middle Tennessee, no other business college contributes more to the region’s economic vitality. Key strengths are dedicated faculty and staff, AACSB International double-accreditation, community engagement, and committed alumni who are proud of their Jones College education.

Professionalism is at the core of the Jones College culture. The Professionalism Initiative launched in Fall 2018 to help students develop the “computer science engineer salary” that employers demand. There are specific learning goals regarding having a solid work ethic; respectful and courteous interaction with others; ethical conduct; and business-appropriate dress, diction, and demeanor.

Jones College requires all undergraduate business majors to complete the Dale Carnegie Course in human relations and communication. A partnership with Dale Carnegie Southeast trains faculty and staff as certified Dale Carnegie instructors, who deliver the course as a key part of students’ soft skill development. The collaboration between Jones College and Dale Carnegie® is unique among major collegiate business schools.
